"The V Foundation for Cancer Research was founded in 1993 by ESPN and the late Jim Valvano, legendary North Carolina State basketball coach and ESPN commentator. Since 1993, The Foundation has raised more than $115 million to fund cancer research grants nationwide. It awards 100 percent of all new direct cash donations and net proceeds of events directly to cancer research and related programs. This speech is so truly uplifting and inspirational, with a solid message about living life fully today -  now! And whether we are cancer patients - or survivors - or even caregivers of loved ones on the cancer journey, Jimmy's three essential daily words or keys are the foundation for a significant and meaningful life:

LAUGH, THINK, CRY

And the way he explains them are as simple, yet as powerful, as the words themselves. So for a fulfilling and meaningful day (I've added my own cmments in brackets):

Laugh everyday! (Remember to laugh at yourself!)
Think - Spend some time in thought (and contemplation).
Cry - Express emotions that move you to tears of happiness or joy (and release all of that pent-up, stuffed down, blocked energy that results in chronic deadly stress!)

And it's so important to also remember, in every aspect of our lives:

Where we started
Where we are now
Where we're going to be...

And don't give up, don't ever give up!

Cancer can take away our bodies, but as Jimmy states: It cannot touch our minds, our hearts and our souls - they live on forever! ~~~~
