I know, that's often easier said than done. But the fact is that what we focus on expands. Focus on the worry and fear - and you'll get more to be worried and fearful about. Posted on: December 23, 2012 by adminNo doubt about it, dealing with cancer is never easy, but especially over the holidays. We all need some quick and easy tips and strategies to help us keep it together - and some inspiration to guide us along the way. Right? Well, I just wanted to share with you 5 top tips that my patients and clients and I have used over the years that really work!
Posted on: December 11, 2012 by adminThe Holiday Season can be stressful enough without the added challenge of dealing with cancer - or caregiving for a loved one with cancer. Apart from the ongoing flurry of extra holiday activities, social and community events, family gatherings, and shopping and cooking specifically for the holidays, there is the added stress of the non-stop hustle and bustle of traffic, both within our homes and out there on the roads and in the stores. Whew!
Posted on: November 20, 2012 by adminSo what's in a question? A lot of power! You have to ask the right questions to get the right answers for your healing journey. A simple question I asked myself everyday more than 23 years ago, and I ask all of my patients and clients today is this: "Are you moving away from the illness or are you moving towards health?" There is a huge difference in our outcomes based on which of these we focus our attention on. Remember that what you focus on expands...so what are you focusing on: Illness - OR - Health?
Posted on: June 18, 2012 by adminAs you many of you know by now, I don't just come from the perspective of a caregiver (both personally and professionally), but also that of a 5-time cancer survivor - who is now very much a "thriver"! And music was, and is, a very important part of what I personally incorporate on a daily basis, as well as share with my patients in any coaching program they invest in with me! Posted on: June 15, 2012 by adminYou know it's time to take control of your health! But something always gets in the way, right? Believe me, I'm no different. As a cancer survivor, who is known for truly "thriving" not just surviving, I do a lot of healthy things on a daily basis. Yet, I had, like many of my clients and friends, become complacent about exercise - well, at least outdoor exercise. Something else always came first...you know what I'm talking about?

Posted on: October 22, 2011 by adminThis beautiful song speaks lovingly of Hope, Faith and Love. It is the official theme song for The Cancer Association of South Africa, and it competed as the South African entry for the World Peace Song Festival in Italy. If you love it as much as I do, you'll want to support the cause by investing in the album: "Take my hand - The Cancer Album"- and then share it far and wide! :-)
